Philip Bixby

Philip Bixby holds a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Texas at Austin (2017) and a master’s degree in musicology from the University of California, Irvine (2019). His research interests include György Ligeti, theories of modernism in music, Adorno, sound studies, surrealism, and the reception history of rock music in both secular and religious communities. In his free time, Philip enjoys reading William Gaddis novels, playing the piano, and learning about the history of horror cinema.
