Maiani da Silva is a contemporary violinist, performer, arranger, and educator. She is a member of the
four-time Grammy-winning sextet Eighth Blackbird, co-founder of performance-art duo The Furies, and Lecturer at Yale’s Department of Music, where she teaches a course on contemporary chamber music performance. Maiani has worked with a wide range of artists, from David Lang, Viet Cuong, Anne Bogart, Ted Hearne, and Nina Shekhar to Childish Gambino, Taylor Mac, Julianna Barwick, and Joe Hisaishi, among others.
