Hannah Rosa Schiller is a doctoral candidate in Music History at Yale University. Originally from Chicago, she completed her undergraduate studies in Music Theory and Psychology at Northwestern University and earned an MSt in Musicology from Oxford University. In her doctoral research, Hannah theorizes gendered temporalities in Anglo-American pop music with a particular focus on women pop stars, formulating a framework she has dubbed “pop star time.” 

Her research has been supported by the Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies and the A. Bartlett Giamatti Memorial Graduate Fellowships in the Humanities Fund.
