Moira Leanne Hill (PhD 2015) Awarded the Scheide Prize of the American Bach Society

October 11, 2018

Yale Department of Music alum Moira Leanne Hill (PhD 2015) was awarded the Scheide Prize of the American Bach Society in April for an article published last year in which she uncovered the identity of a previously anonymous scribe who worked for C.P.E. Bach in Hamburg. The German-language piece appeared in the Bach Jahrbuch 2016 under the title “Der Sänger Johann Andreas Hoffmann als Notenkopist C. P. E. Bachs.” An English-language article describing the process of discovery can be found on page four of the Spring 2017 edition of Bach Notes, the newsletter of the American Bach Society.
