MUSI 238 Contemporary Chamber Music Performance
Contemporary chamber music ensemble that emphasizes collaborative workshopping methods for the performance of recent professional repertoire and pieces written by student and faculty composers. Students learn about musical analysis through performance, extended techniques, and the instrumentalists’ role in bringing to life a new piece.
Admission by audition only. Students must bring their instruments to class.
Students who would like to audition for Musi 238 Contemporary Chamber Music Performance should either send a recent (within 1 year), 3-5 minute video of themselves performing solo or in a small group/chamber ensemble, or schedule a live audition with the instructor no later than two weeks before the start of term.
