Alex Lacamoire joins Fridays @ Five March 1 for a class combining performance critique with Q&A and a discussion of what it take to get a theater career started as a musician and then, to maintain it in a changing world. To apply as a participant (singer/actor), please submit your name, resume, and a musical theater song/cut you can offer to dan.egan@yale.edu by Friday, February 23. We are looking for 4 - 5 performers .

Multi-hyphenate musician ALEX LACAMOIRE has won three Tonys and three Grammys for his work on the Broadway musicals Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, and In The Heights. He won his fourth Grammy producing the soundtrack to The Greatest Showman and received the Kennedy Center Honors in 2018 for his work on Hamilton. In 2019 he won an Emmy award for his work on FX’s Fosse/Verdon. Broadway: Sweeney Todd (current revival), Freestyle Love Supreme, Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, Bring It On; 9 to 5, The People in the Picture, Legally Blonde, High Fidelity; Annie (2011 revival) Wicked and Bat Boy (Off-Bway). Film/television: FX’s Fosse/Verdon, The Greatest Showman, The Incredibles and Sesame Street. Alex has also provided orchestrations for The Rockettes and the Oscars. He is the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate from his alma mater, Berklee College of Music.
