The Department of Music is thrilled to welcome two new faculty members in music theory. Giulia Accornero recently completed her PhD at Harvard University and is currently working on a book entitled Tools of the Trade: Measuring Music in the Greater Mediterranean (850-1350). Daniel Walden comes to us from Durham University, UK, where he served as Assistant Professor of Music Analysis, and is working on a monograph called According to Nature: The Choropoetics and Global Politics of Just Intonation.
