The Department of Music at the AMS/SMT Conference

Milwaukee AMS/SMT 2014: The Department of Music was well represented at the Annual Meeting of the American Musicological Society and the Society for Music Theory, held jointly in 2014, 6-9 November, in Milwaukee.  Presenting papers this year were four faculty members (Richard Cohn, Daniel Harrison, Gundula Kreuzer, and Henry Parkes) and five graduate students (Jennifer Chu, Jonathan Guez, Tahirih Motazedian, John Muniz, and Joseph Salem).  Additionally, faculty members Brian Kane, Nathan Martin, Patrick McCreless, and Ian Quinn chaired sessions or participated on panels, and graduate students Stefanie Acevedo and Kirill Zikanov were also members of larger panel discussions.
