Harry Castle is an MA student specialising in Composition. He obtained his BA in Music from Clare College, Cambridge, in 2018, graduating with a first class degree and a scholarship for his final grades. Harry wrote his undergraduate dissertation on the intersection of musical pastiche and traditional narrative structure in Follies by Stephen Sondheim, supervised by Dr Chloe Valenti, in addition to undertaking major coursework in composition; at Yale he divides his time between writing for musical theatre and writing for the ‘concert platform’. He particularly enjoys working with voices, and performs with Doox of Yale and the Schola Cantorum, as well as teaching choral singing and musical directing across a range of genres on both sides of the Atlantic.
