Ethan Edl (2015) is a PhD candidate in music theory. Originally from Rochester, Minnesota, he received a B.A. in Music and Mathematics with honors from Grinnell College, and an MM in Music Theory from Indiana University. His research interests center upon music from the late 19th and early 20th century, and include musical timbre, texture, gesture, and their intersections, Czech music and historiography, and mathematical/computational approaches to music. He also enjoys eating falafel and watching really good movies.
