Music Department Placement Exams

The Music Theory Placement Test is a diagnostic exam that is used to place students in the class that is most suited for their own musical background and training. The Music Theory Placement Test will be offered on or before the first day of classes each semester. Students seeking admission to MUSI 205, 210, 211, 218, or 219 must take a placement examination.
